They relied heavily on the Nile River, when the river would flood in the spring it would fertilize their land known as kemet. The Nile River is longest river in the world at 4,160 miles long. They had a bunch of natural barriers that protected them from invasions. They had the Libyan Desert, Red Sea, Nubian Desert, Mediterranean Sea, and Cataracts.
